Red Shield Cricket Match

At 10am on the 4th of December at Sandy Creek Cricket Ground a Riverside Salvos select eleven, made up of local civic and business leaders, will take on a team from Gawler Police in the inaugural Red Shield Challenge Cricket Match. This was the idea of Rob Mowbray the officer in charge of Gawler Police who wanted to create an event to raise funds for Riverside Salvo's work with the homeless and those doing it tough in our community.

More details will be forthcoming but we anticipate it being a wonderful community event. The Police Band will be playing on the day and we are hoping to finish the event with some community Christmas carols.

Please keep this date in your diaries and look out for updates in the Bunyip and on our social media.

The team and the trophy will be unveiled at the Red Shield Lunch at Lambert Estate on 12th August. If you want to come along please click on the link below for details.

Bubbles - Tuesday

Bubbles is our Parent and Toddler Group and runs from 9:30am until 2pm on both Tuesday and Wednesday during term time..

We start with songs, puppets, stories and activities with a Christian ethos for about 30 mins.

After that we bring out the toys and open out the whole building to make one great big free play area.

We share fruit at 10:30am and the Cafe is open from 9am for coffee and from 11am for our special Bubbles menu.

The whole day is given over to the toddler group so you are free to stay until 2pm and enjoy the courtyard gardens, and soft play area.

The cost is $2 for the first child and $1 each for any extra children. There is no need to book but it'd great if you let us know you plan to come along.

Men’s Breakfast

Men's Breakfast Thursday 8th of December at Riverside 7am - 8:30am.

Guest Speaker Dave Clark, Dave is the chairman of Willo’s Men’s Shed. He joined Willo’s in 2014 as a volunteer for New Start and hasn’t left, even when he retired in 2016. The shed was a natural extension of Dave’s natural attraction to help people. Dave was a Scout Leader for 30 years and loved working with the lads. He especially liked working with Scouts that were neurologically diverse. So what is this Men’s Shed thing that seems to be in every community one travels through? Is it just for old blokes, or is there more to this? Dave’s commitment to working with neurologically diverse youth through Scout has opened an unexpected door in Willo’s Shed which has had a major impact.

$20 covers full cooked breakfast, coffee/tea and supports future men's events at Riverside Gawler.

This is a men only event. 13years and above. Bring a friend and get a $5 discount.

Booking essential: RSVP Mal McCann
