Reconciliation Sunday 31st May

Reconciliation Sunday 31st May 2026

The theme for National Reconciliation Week 2026 is All In, so we have decided to combine our 9:45am and 11:45am Splash service and go All In with the Kauwi Purruna Bush School to celebrate reconciliation Sunday.

Morning tea will be held in the building at 10am with bush scones, tea and coffee available. The indoor playground will be open during this time for children to use.

The celebration at 11am will include an acknowledgement, recognition of the Kaurna people's connection to this land, a performance by Kauwi Purruna, a chance to recognise the community garden grants given and a message on faith in Jesus and reconciliation. Activities for all to enjoy will follow the celebration.

There will be a prayer meeting at 9:15am in the main church hall.

Purruna Community Garden

Purruna Community Garden is amongst the tranquil setting alongside the North Para River. We are growing vegetables and herbs which is already producing a regular harvest for our commercial kitchen. Our aim broadly is to grow food which can be used by the kitchen team in their menus and meal packs they create. In addition to being productive growing space, we also ensure our Community Garden is a great place for people to connect. So, we have named our garden ‘Purruna’, which in Kaurna language means Life Giving and Wellbeing. This perfectly represents what we want our Community Garden to be.

So… if this Community Garden concept is something that piques your interest, even a little bit, we’d love to hear from you. You can contact Josh on 0468 394 569 or Rick on 0417 832 502, who will be able to answer any questions you may have and point you in the right direction.

Oasis Ladies Coffee Club

As the ladies of the Church we know that every woman needs an oasis, a place of rest, relaxation and refreshing away from all our responsibilities.

Actually we believe that all you need to create an oasis is a good cup of coffee, unhurried time and a group of supportive friends.

So with that thought in mind, in the midst of our busy lives we created a women’s only oasis at Riverside Cafe.

Come along and see where the conversations and the friendships lead!
