What to expect at Riverside

What to expect at Riverside

At Riverside, you'll be welcomed into a friendly, casual environment by people who are excited to see you. We want nothing more than for you to feel relaxed, valued, safe and blessed within this community of faith.

Questions you may have:-

What does Sunday look like?

- We have two services, one at 10am and one at 11:45pm which we call Splash and is aimed at families with younger children. More information about both of these is available on this website.

What do I wear?

- Wear whatever is comfortable for you!

What is the atmosphere?

- We are contemporary and easy going but our heart is to meet with God in relevant and meaningful ways whatever age you are.

What about my children?

- Splash is our service for families with children but we also provide activities for children in the 10am service alongside their parents. We have facilities for nursing mums and a fully equipped change area. The building is set up so you can access the service from both within the auditorium and in the cafe area. We want parents to be comfortable and stress free and just so you know we have a culture of loving children, they are part of church and should be honoured as such. We also have a sensory calming room for those with spectrum or anxiety related issues who may every now and again need a place to settle and relax.

Where do I park?

- Parking is available on the Church grounds and we'd love new comers to park at the front where you'll be met by one of our friendly greeting team..

Please feel free to contact us if you have any further questions.

What to expect at the 10am service

What to expect at the 10am service

Our 10am service is a contemporary worship service built around worship, prayer and God's word.

We aim to make worship meaningful and intimate; our prayer times expectant and faith filled; and the word speak into our lives in relevant and authentic ways.

We follow the service with something we call the 'meeting after the meeting' where we gather in the Cafe and sometimes on the grounds to chat and connect with each other. Riverside desires to be a community where all belong and all are accepted.

Questions you may have:-

How long does the service last?

- The service generally lasts for about one and a quarter hours, finishing around 11:15am.

What version of the Bible do you use?

- We appreciate the contemporary and easily read New Living Translation so that is what we use in Church but whatever version you are most comfortable with. We love it when people bring their own Bibles.

What is the worship like?

- We are contemporary in our worship style, but this is more to do with the musicians God has blessed us with at this point in time. Our focus is on worship rather than style, so we use whatever suits the atmosphere or the message. Our dream is to have worship of every shade and hue as we grow so all will bring honour to our Lord.

What about my children?

- We provide activities for children to do alongside their parents at the 10am service and children remain the responsibility of their parents during this time. The cafe and sensory room are available during this service and as always we have facilities for nursing mums and a fully equipped change area.

Where do I park?

- Parking is available on the Church grounds and we'd love new comers to park at the front where you'll be met by one of our friendly greeting team..

Please feel free to contact us if you have any further questions.
